Want to learn more about diabetes for yourself or a loved one? Need support in managing this disease or keeping your blood glucose normal? Hillsdale Hospital offers monthly diabetes education sessions covering a comprehensive range of topics, including medications, blood glucose monitoring, nutrition, exercise, reducing risks of complications, coping with diabetes and problem solving.
All of our diabetes education classes are taught by a certified diabetes educator/registered dietitian and a registered nurse. Please contact Denise Lovinger, RD, CDE for more information or to register.
Classes take place at Hillsdale Hospital Conference Room B, 168 S. Howell Street. You are welcome to bring a family member or friend with you. You must have a doctor’s referral to attend the program. If you need help obtaining a referral, we can provide assistance.
Individual Diabetes Counseling
Individual counseling is available with a registered dietitian / certified diabetes education.
