Hillsdale Hospital to Offer Laboratory Services in Hudson

Lab services available five days a week at Dr. Jonna Schmidt’s primary care clinic

Hillsdale Hospital today announced they will start offering laboratory services at a primary care clinic in Hudson, owned by Jonna Schmidt, MD. The lab will be open starting Monday, April 27, and available for patients five days a week for blood draws.

“Expanding laboratory services in Hudson is an important step in our ongoing commitment to increase access to high-quality care close to home,” said Lindsey Crouch, director of outpatient clinics. “By bringing these services directly into provider offices, we are making it more convenient for patients to receive the testing they need, when and where they need it.”

Patients can access the lab in Hudson at 456 Cross St., Monday through Thursday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The lab will be closed 12:30 p.m.-1 p.m. for lunch Monday through Thursday. If a patient walks into the clinic for a lab draw without a primary care appointment with Dr. Schmidt, they should bring their laboratory test requisition from a healthcare professional, a current insurance identification card and a current photo identification.

Hillsdale Hospital’s phlebotomist at the Hudson clinic is proficient in blood draws for adult, pediatric and newborn patients. The hospital also has laboratories at the main facility, Reading Health Clinic, Jonesville Health Care, Hillsdale Medical Associates, and Hillsdale Health and Wellness. Testing capabilities include hematology, chemistry, blood bank, microbiology, serology, pathology, cytology and urinalysis.

Hillsdale Hospital is accredited by Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) for compliance with a comprehensive set of national standards. Lab services through Hillsdale Hospital follow the highest standards of quality care.
