It began with a routine haircut.
Ever since Kelsey was very young, she had a lump on her head but didn’t worry about it, assuming it was a mole. When her hair stylist noticed the lump beginning to grow, Kelsey scheduled a consultation with Hillsdale Surgical Group at the Three Meadows Medical Building.

Going into the appointment, Kelsey was nervous about the diagnosis and concerned her head would have to be shaved for an operation to remove the lump. When she arrived, everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, easing Kelsey’s nerves.
She met with Dr. William Morgan and learned the lump on her head was a benign cyst and would need to be removed. Dr. Morgan explained the details of the procedure and answered Kelsey’s questions about recovery, returning to work and taking care of the surgical site. By the time she left, she felt fully prepared and relieved her head wouldn’t have to be shaved.
“Sometimes when you go into [provider] offices, you feel like you’re bothering them, I didn’t feel that there.” said Kelsey. “They wanted to help and answer my questions.”
The procedure began with Kelsey sitting up as a shot of lidocaine was injected into the operative location. Shortly after the injection, Kelsey began to feel dizzy and overheated. The medical assistant, Kristina, opened a window and gave Kelsey a glass of water, helping her relax until the reaction passed.
Once the operation began, Dr. Morgan successfully removed the cyst from Kelsey’s head. He ensured she know how to care for the area and the next day the office called to check up on her.
Kelsey has another small cyst that needs to be removed, but after her first experience with Hillsdale Surgical Group, she feels confident about the next procedure.
“I’m not afraid to get this one done because it was great the last time,” said Kelsey. “[This was the] best healthcare experience I have ever had. Dr. Morgan did an excellent job and his MA, Kristina was so kind, sweet and helpful!”
