In the seven years Gross has served as Hillsdale’s CFO, he has advanced the hospital’s financial position and improved financial management. Most recently, he oversaw implementation of a financial strategy that led to a net revenue of 9.45 percent for fiscal year 2025. Part of that strategy included a group purchasing organization and revenue cycle enhancements, decreasing operating expenses while increasing net reimbursement for continued sustainability.

Gross also oversaw the implementation of software that allows for a more streamlined budgeting process with better monitoring. He placed a special emphasis on including management in the creation of their department’s budgets. Managers are directly involved in monitoring revenue and expenses to identify areas of concern or to highlight growth so resources can be allocated accordingly.

“These leaders make it possible for their organizations to prioritize exceptional patient care,” Becker’s Healthcare said in a press release about their recognition lists.
