Hillsdale Hospital Awarding Up to $50,000 to High School Seniors Pursuing Nursing Careers

Future of Nursing Academic Assistance Program Accepting Applications

HILLSDALE, Mich.—Hillsdale Hospital today announced applications are now open for the 2024 cycle of its Future of Nursing academic assistance program. High school seniors are eligible to apply for tuition assistance of up to $10,000 per year for up to five years for an associate degree in nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

“The Future of Nursing program allows us to build our team with nurses who have local roots,” Meghan Campbell, Chief Nursing Officer, said. “They are both starting and continuing their careers at Hillsdale Hospital.”

Applications may be submitted on Hillsdale Hospital’s website at www.hillsdalehospital.com/education. The deadline for submission is Monday, April 1 at 4 pm.

“This program provides immense value for our hospital and our patients,” Campbell said. “When Hillsdale County students complete their education and then come back home to care for patients in their own community, we all win.”

Selected applicants will participate in an interview round and awardees will be announced at the end of April.

Applicants must meet one of the following eligibility criteria to apply:

  • Live in Hillsdale County
  • Attend school in Hillsdale County
  • Be the child of a current Hillsdale Hospital employee
  • Be the grandchild of a current Hillsdale Hospital employee
