Biography
Karl Wolfe completed his undergraduate degree from Eastern Michigan University in 1994. There, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine and Exercise science while maintaining his honor roll status and working as a Teachers Assistant and Exercise Specialist. A few years later, Karl returned to Western Michigan University where he completed his Masters of Science degree in Medicine and Physician Assistant Studies.Upon completion of his bachelor’s degree, Karl went to work as a Surgical Instrument Technician at Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan where he would prepare and assist surgeons performing various surgical cases. In his spare time, Karl would work as a lab assistant for Northern Michigan Hospital. He continued to become the Clinic Coordinator for the Department of Pathology at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor where he would work with patients along with supervising and educating his staff in various procedures. Karl took time out of his busy schedule to coach the South Lyon High School Men’s Varsity Swim Team.
Karl completed multiple clinical rotations while obtaining his Masters degree from Western Michigan University. His surgical electives included General Surgery, Orthopedics and Cardiovascular. He also completed clinical rotations in Family Medicine, OBGYN and Pediatrics. Karl was so well rounded that it seemed only fit to award him with the prestigious William G. Birch Clinical Excellence Award for his hard work during training.
Karl is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. When he is not in the office, you can usually find him with a fishing pole in hand.
