Hillsdale Hospital Updates Visitation Guidelines

Hillsdale Hospital is now returning to standard visitation guidelines for most areas. Visitors can be swapped out unless otherwise designated below. Please note: Patients in isolation are not permitted visitors, regardless of condition (COVID-19, influenza, etc.). Limited exceptions may apply.

All visitors are still required to be screened and to wear masks without exception in compliance with MIOSHA restrictions. Unit- or clinic-specific visitation restrictions are as follows:

Emergency Room:
Two adult visitors per patient for the duration of that patient’s ER stay. Visitors must stay in the patient’s room unless asked to move to the waiting room due to the patient’s condition.

McGuire & MacRitchie (Skilled Nursing Facility):
Contact McGuire & MacRitchie directly for the current guidelines, as these have the potential to change weekly.

Medical/Surgical/Critical Care Unit:
Two visitors per patient at a time. Visiting hours are 8 am-8 pm. COVID-19 positive patients are not permitted visitors for the duration of their stay.

Behavioral Health Unit:
Two visitors per patient per day. Visiting hours are 6-7:30 pm Monday through Friday and 3-5 pm Saturday, Sunday and on holidays.

Birthing Center (OB):
One significant other/adult support person permitted at all times for the duration of a laboring mother’s stay (labor, delivery, and post-partum). During visiting hours, two additional healthy visitors (aged 12 and older), plus healthy siblings of the newborn are permitted. Visiting hours are 8 am-8 pm.

Surgery:
Two visitors per patient for the duration of that patient’s stay. Surgery patients requiring an inpatient stay may receive visitors according the Medical/Surgical Unit visitation rules.

Hillsdale Health & Wellness:
One visitor per patient.

All Other Outpatient Services & Clinics:
Two visitors per patient.

Bills & Medical Records:
On-site bill pay and medical record access permitted.
