Work Schedule

Full Time | 1st shift, 8am – 5:00 pm M-F / until 6 pm every other Tuesday

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant provides basic nursing care to patients, infants and adults, under the supervision of a physician, PA or NP. Performs phlebotomy as well as clerical and reception duties.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess current Michigan Medical Assistant certification
  • BLS certification (available through Hillsdale Hospital)

Responsibilities

  • Assist physician, PA or NP with data collection and procedures including phlebotomy, dressing changes, immunizations, CLIA approved laboratory testing, specimen collection
  • Assess patients through observation and interpretation of concerns and test results
  • Perform front office clerical and reception duties
  • Document medical record data accurately and timely
  • Maintain and prepare office for daily activities; order and stock supplies
  • Exercise primary responsibility for caseload by scheduled appointments and patient needs
