Dr. Aschmetat to join Hillsdale Orthopedics this August
Hillsdale Hospital is excited to welcome Paul Aschmetat, DO, board-certified orthopedic surgeon, to Hillsdale Orthopedics. Dr. Aschmetat will begin seeing patients in August at Hillsdale Orthopedics on Carleton Road.
As a specialist in comprehensive orthopedic care, Dr. Aschmetat has expertise in anterior total hip replacement, robotic-assisted total knee replacement, shoulder arthroplasty, sports medicine procedures, trauma care and fracture care.

“I am dedicated to helping my patients restore mobility, relieve pain and return to the activities they enjoy,” said Dr. Aschmetat. “I strive to combine advanced techniques with compassionate care to help patients achieve the best possible outcomes.”
After earning his bachelor of science from Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Mich., he went on to obtain is Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Fla., then completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Garden City Hospital in Garden City, Mich. Before making the move to Hillsdale Orthopedics, Dr. Aschmetat practiced at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall, Mich.

Hillsdale Orthopedics, located at 61 W. Carleton Road in Hillsdale, provides care for fractures, hand and upper extremity conditions, sports-related conditions, arthritic conditions of all joints, and more. Treatments range from injections for joint pain to fellowship-trained surgeries like anterior hip joint replacements and total and reverse shoulder joint replacements. Orthopedic surgeries are performed at Hillsdale Hospital in coordination with the surgery department, and Hillsdale Hospital always has an orthopedic surgeon on-call for emergencies.
