Podiatrist accepting new patients starting in June, 2025
Hillsdale Hospital is introducing podiatry services with Komal Patel, DPM starting in June. The service will include office visits, surgical podiatric care and wound care to promote foot health for Hillsdale County. Appointments are available starting June 4, 2025.

Dr. Patel will be seeing patients in her office at the Three Meadows Medical Building two days per week, and spending one day per week at the main hospital location, providing skilled podiatric surgical care and support for the Hillsdale Hospital’s Center for Advanced Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine. She will also provide support for the hospital’s skilled nursing facilities.
“I’m excited to start my journey at Hillsdale to serve the community and care for their podiatric needs,” said Dr. Patel. “In my experience, serving in a rural setting is incredibly rewarding and meaningful.”
Dr. Patel specializes in foot and ankle pathologies and values personalized care for every patient. She received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and completed a residency at St. Luke’s University Health Network.

Podiatry is the diagnosis and treatment of foot and ankle conditions and maintenance of foot health. Conditions seen by podiatrists include ingrown toenails, toe and foot deformities, foot and ankle injuries, lower leg and foot ulcers, and diabetic foot conditions. Treatments vary, but can include custom orthotics, medication, injections, physical therapy or surgical intervention.
