“Aleesha Smak brings a strong passion for women’s health and a clear commitment to patient education and access to care,” said Lindsey Crouch, director of outpatient clinics and durable medical equipment. “As a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, she is eager to help women navigate their health needs, while supporting the OB-GYN program and the broader community with compassionate, patient-centered care.”
Smak earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Lake Superior State University and her Master of Science in Nursing at Frontier Nursing University. Prior to joining Hillsdale Hospital, she worked as a labor, delivery and postpartum nurse, caring for women throughout their pregnancy and postpartum journey.
“I am excited to work in a rural community where I can build meaningful, long-term relationships with my patients,” Smak said. “I believe women of all life stages deserve to access to evidence-based care and support.”

Hillsdale Hospital offers local OB-GYN care, enhancing the health and well-being of women, infants and families. The OB-GYN office has an exemplary inter-disciplinary team of OB-GYNs, certified nurse midwives, anesthesia personnel, registered nurses and nurse practitioners. These professionals will provide individualized postpartum care for women and infants, including all mandatory state screenings and a physician examination before discharge.
