Hospital invites community to learn about enrollment, redeterminations and work requirements
Hillsdale Hospital is hosting an online webinar on Tuesday, October 6 from 12-1 p.m. to provide education to community members on upcoming Medicaid changes.
The speakers will cover Medicaid enrollment, redeterminations, and work requirements and reporting. Participants will also have an opportunity to ask questions and receive live responses throughout the webinar. The webinar recording will be posted on Hillsdale Hospital’s website, Facebook and YouTube, and further resources will be available for one-on-one assistance.
Medicaid coverage changes will impact inactive and active Medicaid and Healthy Michigan Plan recipients. Community members who are uninsured or self-pay are welcome to join to learn about Medicaid eligibility.
The webinar will begin with an introduction from Hillsdale Hospital President and Chief Executive Officer Jeremiah J. Hodshire, followed by a review of Medicaid changes and instructions for self-managing coverage from Medicaid Specialist Teresa Sharrar, and further information about educational resources from Director of Outpatient Clinics Lindsey Crouch.

“Medicaid coverage directly impacts healthcare access in our community,” Hodshire said. “As Medicaid recipients navigate upcoming changes to their healthcare plans, Hillsdale Hospital will be there every step of the way to help them maintain coverage and stay healthy.”
Community members unable to attend the webinar may request a recording of the event at hillsdalehospital.com/webinar. A recording will also be made available on Hillsdale Hospital’s website and social media pages.
As Medicaid changes go into effect starting January, 2027, Hillsdale Hospital will continue to provide education in a variety of settings to ensure every eligible patient has the coverage they need to access care.
