Full Time (Days)| Hillsdale Health and Wellness Walk-In Clinic and Primary Care

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant provides basic nursing care to patients, infants and adults, under the supervision of a physician and/or physician assistant or nurse practitioner.


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess current Michigan Medical Assistant certification
  • BLS certification (available through Hillsdale Hospital)

  • Assist physician or PA with data collection and procedures; perform dressing changes, immunizations, CLIA approved laboratory testing, collect specimens
  • Assesses patients through observation and interpretation of concerns and test results
  • Performs phlebotomy as well as clerical and reception duties
  • Document medical record data accurately and timely
  • Maintain and prepare office for daily activities; order and stock supplies
  • Exercise primary responsibility for caseload by scheduled appointments and patient needs

  • 40 hours per week
  • The clinic is open 7 days a week so the schedule will include some weekends
