40 Hours/Week | 5 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. or 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. | Dietary

Responsible for producing appetizing, tasty and nutrient dense foods for our patients, visitors and staff while effectively utilizing the principles of food safety and infection control.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (available through Hillsdale Hospital)
  • Commercial experience preferred
  • Must be committed to Service Excellence and embrace the Vision, Mission, values and culture of Hillsdale Hospital. Also must be flexible, dependable, responsible and a team player with a favorable attendance record

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organizes daily schedule to accommodate efficient food production
  • Follows established policies and procedures for food safety and infection control
  • Serves food in an attractive and appetizing manner on the tray line
  • Prepares food at the proper temperature for the correct length of time
  • Documents food temperatures before serving and after meal service
  • Utilizes correct portion control measures by weighing or measuring food as indicated
  • Uses proper cleaning and sanitizing techniques on work surfaces, equipment and cutting boards after each use and as required
